Royal women could have any designer outfit they desire, but time and again they turn to dependable high-street brands when they want to look their best - even for high-profile public events.

While cynics might suggest it reflects a conscious effort to avoid appearing overly extravagant - especially given the financial challenges faced by many Britons today - the trend is not a new one.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, is a prominent advocate for affordable fashion and rewears her most-loved items, such as Zara blazers and Veja trainers.

Following in her footsteps, Princess Beatrice recently garnered attention for wearing a faux suede trench coat from H&M, which was on sale for just £25.

Below, we explore staple pieces favoured by the Royal Family that are available to buy now - with many even offered at a discount.

Zara cropped blazer, £49.99 - worn by Princess Beatrice

Princess Beatrice has undoubtedly transformed into a style icon - 13 years since her notorious wardrobe mishap at Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding.

With the assistance of celebrity stylist Olivia Buckingham, it's no surprise that Beatrice was named the best-dressed person of 2024 by Tatler.

The royal frequently merges high street with high-end, as she did for the BGC Group Charity Day in London, layering a smart Zara blazer over a dress by Italian designer Crida Milano.

This textured jacket, priced at £49.99, incorporates a cropped fit, flap pockets and gold embossed buttons for a polished finish.

& Other Stories satin maxi skirt, £97 - worn by Princess Victoria of Sweden

During an official event in Stockholm, Princess Victoria of Sweden epitomised autumn chic in a plum-coloured ensemble.

The star of her outfit was a slinky maxi skirt from & Other Stories, retailing for £97.

The simple slip skirt has solidified its status as a wardrobe staple in recent years, making it a go-to piece every season.

With its high waist and figure-skimming fit, this version pairs beautifully with basic T-shirts and knitwear.

It also comes in black and mustard shades, ideal for refreshing any wardrobe.

Veja Esplar trainers, now £95 - worn by Kate Middleton

The Princess of Wales is well-known for adding a casual touch to outfits with her Veja Esplar trainers.

Since debuting them in May 2021, Kate has worn the white and gold kicks at least eight times.

In September, eagle-eyed fans spotted the Princess wearing them again during her moving video message to the nation, in which she announced she had finished her course of chemotherapy following her health crisis earlier this year.

Kate's trainers are currently on sale for £95 at Harrods, making them a great option to style with everything - from joggers to dresses - this autumn.

Reiss pleated skirt, now £78 - worn by Princess Eugenie

Princess Eugenie received an outpouring of praise on social media following her appearance at the 'Nothing But a G Thang: The Art & Archive of G-Dragon' exhibition launch at Daelim Museum in South Korea.

The royal chose an elegant black and white ensemble from Reiss, comprising the Eva asymmetric contrast top, priced at £98, and the Marie pleated skirt, retailing for £158.

The skirt piqued significant interest with its flattering cut and eye-catching colour-block trim, making it a versatile piece whether worn with heels or trainers.

Originally £158, it is now available for £78.

& Other Stories floral applique blouse, £87 - worn by Queen Letizia of Spain

Known for her commitment to diverse and sustainable fashion, Queen Letizia of Spain is another fan of & Other Stories.

Last month she showcased a floral appliqué blouse, priced at £87, while enjoying lunch with her family.

This organic cotton blouse features exquisite floral detailing and voluminous sleeves, enabling it to be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion.

While Letizia styled it casually with jeans, it would look particularly striking tucked into a leather pencil skirt.

The blouse is available in six colours, including black, beige and burgundy.

Hobbs polka dot shirt dress, now £129 - worn by Queen Camilla

A shirt dress is a year-round wardrobe staple, and Queen Camilla demonstrated that winter doesn't have to mean a palette of black and grey.

She sported a playful polka dot design by one of Kate Middleton's favourite brands, Hobbs, at her brother Tom Parker Bowles' book launch in London.

Crafted from recycled materials, the £189 Lucilla dress combines a classic fit-and-flare silhouette with a monochrome spot print.

Available in both regular and petite sizes, it is reduced by £60 - while stocks last.

ME+EM silk jumpsuit, now £416.50 - worn by Zara Tindall

Zara Tindall is celebrated for her bold fashion choices, frequently experimenting with vibrant colours and dramatic silhouettes.

Her striking ME+EM jumpsuit, worn in May, is a prime example. In fact, many remain enamored with its magenta hue and fluid shape.

This piece has joined the coveted end-of-summer sale, with a price tag £416.50.

While it's an investment, the effortlessly flattering cut, pure silk composition and added bonus of pockets make it worthwhile.

Monica Vinader friendship bracelet, £138 - worn by Meghan Markle

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has been spotted wearing Monica Vinader's £138 friendship bracelet on multiple instances.

This delicate design features a curved bar, adjustable cord-style strap and streamlined silhouette, making it a perfect everyday accessory.

What's more, it can be engraved for a special touch.

In keeping with Monica Vinader's sustainability programme, there is a small square supplier symbol on the inside of the bar to indicate its origin.
